Welcome to the Nook: Books, Espresso, and the Journey
I’m a nerdy millennial on a mission to build Quiet Nook Books: A Literary Cafe. Follow along for curated reviews, espresso experiments, and the raw journey toward our 2026 opening in Salinas, CA.

Ever since I was young girl I’ve wanted to be like Belle. Sure, the Beast loved her, of course, but mostly he presented her with a home library - that 30 years later - still causes me absolute awe.
Books give us the opportunity to escape our reality in small bursts (or longer, if you’re a binge reader like me). You can be a detective, a fairy on a quest to save the realm, or the no-nonsense woman running a local bakery while the town ‘bad boy’ tries to win her over. It is all possible the moment you crack the binding.
I’m here to share that love with you through reviews and recommendations, but also invite you behind the scenes. I’m building a dream from the ground up; Quiet Nook Books: A Literary Cafe, coming to the Salinas/Monterey area in 2026.
This is part journal, part business-log, and part book-club. Whether you’re here for the sprayed edges, the espresso recipes, or a peek into my own personal writing, I’m so glad you’re in my corner.
